Bucksport girls win four indoor track events

first_imgORONO — The Bucksport girls’ indoor track team notched four first-place finishes in events at Saturday’s Eastern Maine Indoor Track League meet at the University of Maine.Natalie Coleman, Meaghan Goodine and Mavis Taungatu’a led Bucksport to a third place finish among five teams with 44 points in meet B — one of three taking place that day. John Bapst won with 81 points, and Mattanawcook took second with 69.Goodine won both the 400-meter dash in one minute and 13.05 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 30.76 seconds.Coleman placed first in the one-mile run in six minutes and 9.16 seconds.This is placeholder textThis is placeholder textTaungatu’a won the shot put with a distance of 33 feet and 8.5 inches.As for the Bucksport boys, Danny Bunker and Johann Bradley won events, and the team took fourth with 35 points.
